The Mukilteo Kiwanis Foundation is classified as a public charity under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) 501(c)3, and donors can deduct contributions under Section IRC 170.  Please consult your tax specialist for more information about your donation.

Volunteering enhances social networks, improves mental health and contributes to higher levels of happiness, self-esteem, self-worth and life satisfaction. Volunteers develop life skills and leadership abilities that can lead to employment opportunities.

If you know a current member, we encourage you to ask them questions. If you are new to the area, we invite you to come to a meeting and acquaint yourself. Ask questions. There are plenty of people eager and willing to share their love of Kiwanis!

We invite you to click on the Community Engagement link on our home page. You will see many areas of interest; one may be a perfect fit for you!

Kiwanis has three main fundraising events:

  1. Mukilteo Lighthouse festival Salmon Bake;
  2. Music in the Park food vendor (partnering with Mukilteo Chamber each summer);
  3. Christmas Sales-members sell tins of deluxe mixed nuts and tins of chocolate delights.

100% of the funds raised at the Salmon Bake go toward scholarships for seniors in the Mukilteo School District. Money raised through our other fundraisers fulfill grant requests from various local programs that support children and youth. For example we have helped support Domestic Violence Services, Special Olympics, Camp Killoqua, Clothes for Kids, and many more.
