Mukilteo Kiwanis Welcomes WSU-Everett to a Recent Meeting
Our guests today, Hayley and Sergei, spoke to the club about the WSU Everett Campus. This site offers many fresh and innovative ways for students to engage in ongoing education and do so in their timeframe and pace. Here are some of the ways WSU is reaching out to their students and community:
- Students can duel enroll with Everett Community College at the same time, making a transfer of credits more seamless. This Degree Partnership Program (DPP) is the first of its kind in the state of Washington.
- Everett Cougar Closet is a fairly new program where students who need clothing or other items for interviews, etc, may come in and get what they need.
- There is a modified food pantry for those needing foodstuffs.
- Amazon’s Career Partner Program will pay for hourly employees to attend selected classes free of charge.
