Libraries: It’s not just books anymore!

Did you know your toddler can get a library card? Or that your kiddo can read with a trained dog in a program called Tails and Tales? That middle and high school students can earn community credit by volunteering at the library? That there is an adult book club?

Lindsay Anderson from the Sno-Isle Library (Mukilteo) shared many wonderful ways that our community can utilize our local library. The Sno-Isle Library system has 23 local libraries that have services such as Library on Wheels, on-line services, and a service center that covers Snohomish and Island counties.

One fun partnership, is with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library that gives children free books. Another great offering , especially given our diversity in Mukilteo, is a service that provides resources in multiple languages. There are resources for new and emerging businesses… There is something for everyone.

Visit your local library and see what is new, that may interest you and your family.
