Salvation Army Shares Update
“Thank you, Capt. Caleb Fankhauser from The Salvation Army Everett Corps for giving us an area wide report of your organization.”
If one were asked what one thinks when they hear “Salvation Army”, then most of us would reply “they are the bell ringers at Christmas time.” That answer would be correct…but they are so much more.
In our area, the Salvation Army has been serving the community in Everett for 126+ years. They offer physical, social, material and spiritual support through various programs. They have food bank services, transitional housing, provide school supplies and backpacks, and offer youth programs. The Salvation Army works with families to help prevent evictions, offer utility assistance, and serve meals to those in need.
So… next time you see a “bell ringer” and put a donation in that iconic red kettle, you are helping your neighbor, or a family who is down on their luck, or simply put… your #community.
