Girls On The Run To Celebrate Their 10th Year In The County
Girls On The Run (GOTR) is a national non-profit organization designed to inspire, nurture and strengthen the lives of girls from 3rd to 8th grade. The curriculum helps them navigate through emotional, physical, social and behavioral situations, and girls learn to approach these areas with confidence and assurance. Since 2015 to today, Girls On The Run SnoCo, has influenced more than 4,000 participants through over 40 locations.
Megan Wolfe, Executive Director of GOTR, shared different elements of the curriculum, how it impacts not only the girls but their families and others in their circle of influence. They have camps the girls can attend, classes for learning and fun ways such as fun runs, service projects, other movement related activities to help reinforce lessons and connect with the community.
